FAQ'S
What types of classes do you offer?
We offer wheel-throwing and hand-building classes for adults, kids’ art classes and camps, private lessons, and seasonal or specialty workshops. All levels are welcome, from complete beginners to experienced potters.

Do I need any prior experience to take a class?
No experience is necessary. Most of our classes are beginner-friendly, and we guide you through every step of the process. If you do have experience, instructors have more in depth tips to offer and will sometimes present you with extra clay so you can learn a bit more in class!

Are the goats at every class?
No, the goats only make a special visit to the studio on Sundays. For a private class with goats, there is a minimum of 8 people required to have a goat add-on. If you're looking to do pottery in a small private class and meet the goats, book a private during the week and then come meet them on the weekends!

Who's goats are they!? How do they get here?
We get this question a lot. The goats belong to the studio owner Rivers and ride a short 5 minutes in the back of the car to get to the studio. They look forward to their weekly outing and are always super excited to hang out with people! They are very social and

Will the goats run around all class?
When you arrive. the goats will greet you and you can pet, feed, and hold them while they run around. However, they are extremely mischievous friends and so when we begin throwing, they nap in their pen, but you're welcome to hold and pet them at any time during and after class!

Are materials included in the class fee?
Yes. Clay, glaze, and firing are included unless otherwise noted. Some specialty workshops or larger projects may have an additional materials fee.

How long do classes last?
Most classes are 1-2 hours long. Kids’ camps and multi-week classes vary in length and are clearly listed when booking. Sometimes, different groups work at different speeds and sometimes we finish sooner than expected, and sometimes later. We go with the flow ;-)

What happens to the pieces I make?
After your class, your pieces are dried, fired, glazed, and fired again in our kiln. Finished work is usually ready for pickup within 4-6 weeks. If you need, we can ship your pieces for a fee after you receive a text that they have been completed!

Can I choose my glaze colors?
Yes. You’ll be able to choose from a curated selection of glazes. We guide you on what works best for your pieces.

Am I guaranteed two finished pieces of pottery?
Due to the unpredictable nature of ceramics, we do not guarantee he survival of pottery pieces. This is why we make two pieces each, however, sometimes tragedy strikes in the kiln, but we like to look at it as pottery continuing to teach us how to let go. We will offer you a discount on a future class if your piece doesn't make it.

Do you offer private events or group bookings?
Yes! We host private events, birthday parties, team-building workshops, and custom group sessions.

I'm coming for a celebration. Can I bring some decorations and drinks and snacks?
Yes! We're happy to have you bring your guests snacks, drinks, and decor, just let us know beforehand so we are aware. We are unable to have cooking on site or servers for private parties, but you're more than welcome to bring preprepared food and eat our picnic tables!
